There’s something thrilling about the fast-paced rhythm of city life, the constant energy, the endless plans, the sense that something exciting is always just around the corner.
For a long time, that was exactly where I wanted to be. But as life evolves, so do we. And sometimes, what once felt essential, slowly begins to lose its grip.
If you had asked my younger self whether I could ever imagine living outside the city, the answer would’ve been a definite no.
Back then, I thrived on being out with friends, filling my weekends with live music, and spending the weekdays recovering and planning for the next adventure. That was my world, and I loved every second of it.
But as they say, there’s a season for everything.
Fast forward to now, and I’ve found a deep appreciation for a slower, more grounded life away from the city’s constant buzz. I continue to enjoy socialising, connecting with the community, but at a more relaxed pace.
Nowadays, I am spending more of my time cultivating our herb and vegetable garden, blending teas, making music, and embracing a more mindful lifestyle.

With the world accelerating into an AI-driven future, & constant distractions, I realised I needed to step back to find stillness, clarity, and reconnect with what truly matters to me.
Stepping away from the city wasn’t about leaving behind who I was ,it was about making space for who I’m becoming.
Life in the slow lane has offered me the pause I didn’t know I needed & a chance to breathe, reflect, and realign with what feels real and meaningful in this ever-accelerating world...
